1. About these terms

These Terms and Conditions apply to services provided by Comfort Through Care, the trading name of LAAC Pty Ltd (ABN 43 701 231 085), to clients receiving in-home post-operative nursing support in Sydney, NSW.

By making a booking or receiving services, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. These terms should be read together with the Privacy Policy and any care information or consent documents provided during intake.

2. Service scope and clinical boundaries

Comfort Through Care provides registered-nurse-led, in-home post-operative support following cosmetic surgery. Services may include observations, wound and dressing support, drain management, compression guidance, prescribed medication administration, recovery guidance and escalation to the treating surgeon where appropriate.

Our service supports, but does not replace, the advice, treatment plan or clinical responsibility of your treating surgeon, clinic or medical team. We do not provide cosmetic procedures, facial thread-lifting aftercare, overnight care, emergency care or after-hours medical care.

We may decline, pause or end services where care is outside our clinical scope, where the home environment is unsafe, or where we reasonably consider that another level of care is required.

3. Eligibility and client responsibilities

Services are subject to clinical suitability, availability, location and completion of our intake and consent process. You must provide accurate and complete information about your procedure, medical history, medications, allergies, treating surgeon and recovery needs.

You agree to follow the directions of your treating surgeon and to tell us promptly about any change in your condition, procedure plan, contact details or recovery arrangements.

4. Payment

A 20% deposit is required to secure your booking date. The remaining balance is payable before the first scheduled visit, unless we agree otherwise in writing. Comfort Through Care does not process Medicare claims and package fees are not subject to GST.

A private health fund may make a contribution in some circumstances. You are responsible for confirming any eligibility, benefit or reimbursement directly with your fund.

5. Cancellations and changes

If you need to cancel or change a scheduled visit, please contact us as soon as possible. Cancellations made less than 48 hours before a scheduled visit may incur a fee equal to 25% of that visit’s value.

Where possible, we will work with you to reschedule care. Rescheduling is subject to nurse availability and may not always be possible.

6. Liability

We take reasonable care in delivering services within our professional scope. To the extent permitted by law, Comfort Through Care is not responsible for outcomes arising from your surgery, treatment decisions made by your surgeon or clinic, incomplete or inaccurate information provided by you, or a failure to follow medical advice.

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under Australian Consumer Law or other applicable law.

7. Emergencies

Comfort Through Care is not an emergency service. If you experience severe symptoms, a medical emergency or an immediate threat to life, call 000 without delay.

For urgent post-operative concerns that are not life-threatening, contact your treating surgeon, clinic or medical team. We may escalate concerns to your treating surgeon where clinically appropriate, but you remain responsible for seeking urgent medical attention when needed.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time to reflect changes to our services, professional obligations or applicable law. The current version will be published on this website.
