Comfort Through Care is led by Amelia Ryan, Registered Nurse (AHPRA NMW0002573851), with post-operative, critical cardiac care, clinical skin nursing and community-care experience. Her passion is caring for people when they feel most vulnerable, bringing clinical attentiveness and a calm, personal presence to recovery at home.

Our approach

Recovery can feel unfamiliar, particularly in the first days after a procedure. Our role is to bring a steady, capable presence into your home—supporting the practical details while helping you feel more comfortable and informed.
Amelia holds a Bachelor of Nursing and current AHPRA registration, grounding every visit in professional nursing practice. Her critical-care cardiac nursing experience has strengthened a careful eye for observations, post-operative wound care and timely escalation when something needs attention.
Amelia has also recently worked as a clinical skin nurse, developing a strong understanding of skin health and the ability to recognise changes that may need attention. This supports careful monitoring for possible infection, thoughtful wound assessment and staging, and practical guidance that complements your treating team’s recovery plan.
Her extensive disability-support background has shaped a deeply person-centred approach to care. Amelia understands the importance of listening, preserving dignity, supporting independence where possible and offering reassurance when people are feeling most vulnerable. Your recovery plan is always guided by your treating team's instructions and your individual needs.
